Our December feature bowl will transport you the warmer climes of the Meditteranean. Think sun drenched islands, white washed buildings dotting the hillsides surrounded by white beaches and beautiful azure seas. On a bed of rice pilaf, steamed until tender and dressed with parsley and butter, all the fixings for a Greek feast are laid out. Chicken thighs, that have been marinated in onion, lemon juice, garlic and herbs are grilled to perfection, reminiscent of charred, juicy skewers of Souvlaki straight from Greece. Accompanying the chicken on its bed of rice are lemony roasted potatoes and crisp, crunchy Greek salad topped with creamy feta cheese. What trip to Greece would be complete without the added flavours of a creamy cucumber, mint and dill Tzatziki and the mediterranean staple, hummus. To make sure that you can get every last delicious morsel out of the bowl there is also some grilled garlic pita to round out the meal. Enjoy your meal and watch out for flying bowls. Oppa!
